This is my first post on my first blog. I have never really been a blogger except for message boards about OSU football (a great use of my time I might add.) This may be the first time you have been on a blog. They are new enough to be a first for a lot of us.
I like firsts. I have never been afraid of trying new things--styles, music, foods. In Africa I tasted a root that a Swazi lady had just pulled out of the ground (they don't pack their lunch there they just dig for it.) My comfort with firsts must be part of my DNA. That may be why I was willing to plant a church. That may be why I like church that is not like the church we grew up with. Some of my favorite firsts are first time people--attenders, believers, and babies.
Let's go crazy for those people! Let's have more firsts at The Crossing--attenders, believers, and babies!

Dear R.D.
Here I am sitting in my living room in Singapore and just read you blog. I haven'e even dressed yet! I get up each morning and turn on the laptop here in the apartment so I can hear from home. While I was sleeping you were working. We are 13 hours ahead of the States in time.
Doug is on his way back from Boreno. He taught MLM yesterday in Subi, Boreno. They had about 150 pastors to attend the MLM training.
Our hearts are full of rejoicing over what is taking place here in Southeast Asia. God is at work!! We will fill in the details when we get back home.
This weekend is filled with meetings. Doug lands and heads to a meeting with a man that has just recently started giving to EQUIP. This afternoon Doug is to teach a group of Chinese students from China MLM and then preach tonight. Tomorrow,Sunday, he is to preach twice at a Methodist Church here in Singapore. Monday morning we have a breakfast meeting with a young lady that is very interested in helping with notebooks for China MLM. Monday night we have a farewell dinner with the ELA (Equipping Leaders for Asia)team. ELA is our partner here in Asia. Tuesday morning we board the airplane and head for the States. This has been one of the most exciting trips I have ever made.
Please give all the church people our greetings. I hope we will be able to be in church Sunday, March 11.
Pray for us as we travel home.
Love to all,
Winnie
